About the role: Our client is seeking an intelligent and resourceful HR Manager to run the US HR efforts alongside a small global HR team and reporting into VP of HR. As a HR Manager, you will be responsible for the full-cycle recruiting process, to developing and growing the team, while developing and maintaining the culture, building processes and contributing to employee relations.
Responsibilities for the Human Resources Manager:
Human Resources:
- Liaise with leadership: Work with leadership team to develop strategies to maximize growth including employee referrals, interview training, onboarding, etc. Act as trusted advisor.
- Culture: Build, support, and embody company culture, drive employees’ sense of pride, purpose and passion. Help conceive of and plan events (holiday parties, office events, off-sites).
- Employee Relations: You will be a trusted resource to the team while handling the day to day employee inquiries as well as ad hoc, sensitive matters with the utmost discretion and fairness.
- Growth: Conduct performance reviews and assist team members with career development.
- Operations: Manage employee compensation and benefits, orientation and training of new hires, and maintaining health and safety accountability with labor laws.
- Measure: Create, measure, and drive employment metrics to create efficiencies and measure program performance and develop a monthly reporting to senior management.
- Point person: Advise employment standards and legislation, such as workers comp, labor laws and regulations, benefits, etc. Ensure that HR processes are aligned HR.
Recruitment:
- Develop strategies to streamline the hiring process; manage the job board, agencies, and conduct interviews; recruit, retain, and onboard new hires.
- Source and attract candidates using social media, job boards and placement agencies.
- Use Boolean Logic, x-raying and networking in order to attract the best candidates.
- Work with hiring managers to write and manage job descriptions.
- Conduct phone and frontal interviews.
- Manage the entire hiring process E2E.
- Being the focal point with recruitment agencies.
Ideal Requirements for the HR Manager:
- 4+ years’ work experience as a Human Resources professional in a hi-tech environment
- Proven sourcing experience with customer facing positions (Marketing, Sales, etc)
- Prior experience working in a fast paced growing startup – ideal
- Past experience in working globally
- Passion for ‘hands on’ recruitment
- Brilliant communicator, team player, hard worker, independent, and fun to work with
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter& other social media recruitment tools
- A ‘can-do’ approach and the ability to manage many priorities in a hectic environment
- Working knowledge of US Employment Law
- BA in relevant field, Master’s degree – an advantage
