Our client is an innovative 3D printing eyewear company in major growth mode and looking to scale very quickly with their innovative products in NYC.

About the role

Our client is looking for their first HR Manager to join their exciting 3D Printing startup within their NYC office. They are currently 10+ employees with high growth goals. The HR Manager will be responsible for building the NYC team through instilling HR processes and handle high volume recruiting. An ideal candidate will have generalist HR and tech startup recruitment expertise. The role requires a close collaboration with the CEO and executive leadership. Our client is headquartered in New York with offices in London & Italy.

Responsibilities for the HR Manager:

  • Responsible for entire recruitment process in North America which includes: creating job descriptions, sourcing, CV screening, face to face interviews and being proactive in pushing this process forward. They are currently at 10 adding another 20-30 technical, product and sales related roles!
  • Act as a single point of contact for HR related issue to all employees and managers in the office.
  • Proactively manages and supports the delivery of HR processes.
  • Designs succession plans for key talents and key job positions including responsibility for internal mobility processes.
  • Challenges the organizational structure and proposes changes.
  • Creates and implements a winning company culture.
  • Enhances employer branding and buzz in local market to attract and retain top talent.
  • Implements a training infrastructure including onboarding new employees, management training & job-related training.
  • Responsible for running salary surveys and building competitive compensation practice.

Ideal Requirements for the HR Manager:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist/Manager (covering recruitment, training, compensation and benefits and employee care) ideally from an e-commerce or similar tech startup environment is preferred.
  • Strong Interviewing skills & experience.
  • Great understanding of product, sales, technical based sourcing techniques.
  • Labor law knowledge.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and evolving start up environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • This is a dynamic and fast-paced role that requires a proactive, creative, outgoing, fun and energetic person!
  • BA/BS degree (Master’s a plus!)

Salary:

$65,000- $85,000
