About the role: Our client is seeking an energetic, self-starter that combines an analytical mind with creative problem-solving skills to use advertising data to drive success. Responsibilities for Data Analyst:
- Finding areas of opportunity to drive revenue in a digital advertising campaign.
- Build analysis through data mining to identify advertising campaign trends/opportunities for product optimization.
- Prove value to clients by developing data-driven stories in dynamic presentations.
- Discover best practices to reduce subjectivity to further develop the product.
- Develop reporting platform to provide unified view of results through dashboards and reports.
- Maintain advertising data integrity by working closely with R&D to organize and store data in a format that provides accurate data and allows the business to quickly identify issues.
- Package and present analytical findings and clearly communicate results and complex concepts to internal and external stakeholders
- Support sales/ success management teams by providing data-driven industry overviews, information on research products, assisting with trouble-shooting and answering questions.
- Become an expert in industry, customer and measurement methodologies.
Ideal Qualifications for Data Analyst:
- Minimum 3 years of analytical experience in digital advertising environment
- Experience working with ads data, specifically involving supply/pub dev data, analyzing campaign data, social media campaigns, programmatic ad campaigns, digital advertising etc.
- Must have: intermediate to strong database skills (SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Splunk, etc.)
- Must have: intermediate to strong BI & Analytics Tools (Tableau, MicroStrategy, SAS)
- Must have: MS Office: Advanced Excel (Pivot tables, advanced macros, etc.) and PowerPoint
- Must have: Web analytics tools: Google Analytics, Omniture, DART, Coremetrics, etc.
- Nice to have: Open source statistical software: R or Python (similar to SAS, SPSS, etc.)
- Competency in statistical analytic techniques: time series data analysis, forecasting segmentation, univariate/multivariate statistical analysis, various metrics and key performance indicators, research/test design, significance testing, hypothesis testing, variance/growth calculations, ROI
- Handle multiple projects in a fast-paced diverse environment
- Can generate consistently accurate reports for translating data into actionable insights
- Experience with data visualization and/or an eye for design a plus
- Proactive, independent thinker with high energy and positive attitude
- Willingness to take coaching for continuous personal development
- Experience working with distributed team of managers, project managers and technical support.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.Sc.) or equivalent.
Salary
$70,000-$90,000 + bonus + equity
